Pastor’s Message

Thanks for stopping by! I’m guessing you want to know a bit about Prince of Faith Lutheran Church, or you wouldn’t have clicked in. I’m Reg Berg, and I have the privilege of being the Pastor of Prince of Faith. We are a community of people on a journey of faith. It’s a journey filled with a bizarre mixture of things:

• wonder and wondering
• amazing moments of clarity and insight
• times of questions, confusion, and uncertainty
• situations in which we seem to be part of amazing things and sense God working in and through us
• and times when we blow it and can’t understand how God puts up with us.

In and through all of this, in this journey of faith we are seeking – together – to follow Jesus our Lord wherever he leads us. We make mistakes. We “all fall short of God’s glorious standard” (as we read in Romans 3:23…) We seek to follow, and yet find ourselves wandering away on the paths we think are better. All this is true. And – more importantly – so is something else: God’s Grace, and God’s Love. Yes, we mess up (perhaps you can relate?) – and yet, because of God’s Grace, we are forgiven. God picks us up, dusts us off, wraps us in love, and invites us – anew – to follow. And as we follow, we seek to share (albeit imperfectly!) this same Grace and Love that we’ve experienced with everyone else we encounter, wherever we meet them.
